the night's cry
kills the softness
the moonless night renders.
under the vast sky
lies a figure
framed only in skeleton.
a world of cynics
pass by nonchalantly
the figure starved
and stuffed to death.
foot steps disappearing
darkness reigns
a soul's craving muttered tonight
in a city of abundance
human profanity
once again gains upperhand
in pretentious liveliness.
